Judging by these pictures of each pair of sneakers ranging from $100-$1,000+…

These are Extreme Sneaker Heads. I love sneakers and have a grip of pairs but im not even lightweight compared to theses cats. DunkxChange is exactly what its for, its an event by sneakers heads for sneaker heads haah, incase you didnt know. How this works is, we got vendors and we got the attendees(people). The vendors vendor what they have (duh) and the attendees are somewhat of miniVENDORS. They bring in any sneakers they are willing to trade or sale and walk around with it and talk to others doing the same… insteresting right. Like this kid raising his goods up for offer. Crazy i seen kids with sneakers worth $600 and up… People in this sneaker culture walk around banked!

Before I start this post, wanted to let the dotcom world know one of my closest cousin just left to study abroad…our homeland, The Philippines and is going to be there for a good 6 years(+)… Miss and love you my G, Keep your mind open and focused on what your there for! call it a war and bomb the city! 

So got some snapbacks to add onto the S/S09 drop along with 2 Tee’s. Being an upcoming, you learn and realize new things everyday. One of them being the embroidery side of things, creating designs for hats, jackets, or anything involving stitch counts is different than silk screens or other types of prints. You take things into consideration that I rather have you find out yourself if your serious about your shindig, www.CoveritAllco.com can explain it to you better than I can anyways they’re the one doing it.

Not sure but guessing this is the Digitized blue print of the design?….Just took a shot, thought it was interesting.

and it starts, oh one fact, when stitching hats, it doesnt stitch from left to right or right to left… starts in the middle and into to the sides. 

measuring and marking, making sure everything is where it needs to be.

and boom there goes your sample. If your happy with it like I am you send it to get your tags/labels stitched on and there goes your product

Oh and because I am D.M.Va Rooted, the nations capital flag was def proper.

In general, the show turned out DOPE!!! mad heads came through, through out the thurs-friday 3-10pm periods. THANK YOU to everyone who made it out and checked it out, very much appreciated, real talk. Will post more like i said, soon as I or anyone can find a way to upload all of them in a folder everyone can see with out going through your personal photoalbums. Agains thanks to all those who came, and will postem soon.

For Aristocrats in SJ was on Saturday, if you missed it its not too late, you’ll still be cool kna’mean, but you did miss out on seeing a few Hitters from San Jose and one from Dc/Va haha… from what I know, Halloway, Breezy Excrusion, Imperium, self SuhReal (Dc/Va rooted, SJ planted), and im sure more that I didnt know of. Behind The Design

Some care to look into the work, thought process, and meaning behind a design, and some can careless. Well as I said on a previous post, I was going to try posting the break down on the designs for each each seasons drop. Starting it off with SuhReals Icon and Type Logo. Will try to make it as short as possible so it doesnt turn into a novel. word? Word.

SUHREAL’s Icon and Type Logo

Taking a different approach from the bold strong graphics you see out now. The thought process was thinking of ways to have that, but with a softer/graceful vibe to it. So it is something somewhat bold but more of a graceful/calm feel to it that could still strongly catch the eye. Brainstorming of anything and everything, Chose a bird, because of its symbolization of rising above to freedom and power and the connection between the sky and land. 

At that chose a Cardinal because being from Va, it is Virginia’s state bird and the red is a strong color that everyone has a different perspective towards. From love to Hell to blood to elegance, definitely gives different vibes towards each person depending on the lines and colors surrounding the color red. To get more into detail on the red, we use a specific type of red, Pantone 193c-Red.

The thought process behind the worm wrapping around the cardinal, was that I wanted ‘Struggle, fight, freedom, our nature of being, and life’ to add on to the image. Between the cardinal and the worm, it is showing exactly those words I mentioned.

The ‘SR’ is a hybrid influence of todays modern sports team logos/icons and the style of typefaces used in the Book Of Celtics. If you dont know what the Book of Celtics (pronounce Kell-ticks, not the Nba team), Read up about it and check out the illustrations they have. The curves and flow of the SR def has it’s elegance and calm feel to it to complement with the worm/bird design and the Type Logo.

The thought behind the SuhReal type logo was to give it a flow and simple grace vibe to it. Wanted pointed Serifs (legs) to the letters to help the flow when looking and reading it. To keep it hood, didn’t make it too bland but more of a premium look to it. Also to make it as simple as possible to make it dope with a range of different styles of designs, from urban, abstract, contemporary, or straight up graff designs, still ill. KNA’MEAN.

Kind of late but will post the current Spring09 drop on the next “behind the design”.
